In terms of combat, players can fight with seasonal bosses, hidden shadow creatures, and an abundance of wild animals that are ready to attack them. During the night, dangerous creatures come out. During the day, the players explore the world and spend their time in activities like gathering food, and other resources or discovering different recipes for crafting items. They must keep their characters alive, well-fed, and mentally stable as they try to avoid a variety of dangers that try to kill them.Ī day and night cycle causes significant changes in the gameplay style. Players land on a vast, randomly created world teeming with riches, peril, and diverse enemies. The gameplay revolves around exploring, fighting, farming, and building together in order to stay alive for as long as possible. Presently, up to six players can play at a time, in private or public games with friends or strangers. It shares some of the characters and features with the original game, but adaptations have been made for multiplayer to add balance to the gameplay.
